Functional Behavioral assessment includes a variety of systematic information-gathering activities regarding factors influencing the occurrence of a behavior (e.g. why is the behavior occurring) including interview, direct observation, and experimental analysis.
An individualized plan is developed to teach appropriate replacement behaviors using positive approaches, thus decreasing challenging behaviors. A Behavior Analyst will train staff, teachers and parents to implement the plan and collect data.
* The plan will be continually monitored and adjusted as necessary.
